1. Unless otherwise stated by DominoesStars (P4Smedia), the following terms and conditions set forth the rules and procedures that govern all players' rights in the event of disconnection and game cancellation.
2. Disconnect protection is a tool that protects players if their internet connection is lost while they are involved in a Domino game. If a player is disconnected, he/she will be able to stay in the game (provided disconnect protection is available) he was financially involved in at the time of disconnection.
3. DominoesStars is aiming to offer the best disconnect protection to our players. Our goal is to protect players while also maintaining appropriate security checks so that the protection offered is not abused.
4. Disconnect protection must not be used other than in the event of a genuine disconnection. Any misuse of this policy may result in the loss of the disconnect protection privilege, or expulsion from the site.
5. DominoesStars is designed to assess if a player has a genuine disconnection before giving the disconnect protection to him. Players trying to take advantage of disconnect protection by deliberately getting 'timed out' will be deemed to lose.
6. Players must accept the risk of disconnection, and should simply log back in and continue playing as quickly as possible if they are cut off.
7. If a player is disconnected during a game and has disconnected protection available, he/she will be able to play for the part of the pot he has invested money in. The player can win whatever was in the pot at the time of the disconnection.
8. DominoesStars reserves the right to alter this policy and render final decisions on all matters herein at its sole discretion. Policy changes and relevant decisions will be communicated accordingly by DominoesStars using electronic and/or written means.
Disconnection FAQs
- What happens if my service is interrupted?
Disconnections can and do occur. Your game will be paused and your opponent notified of your disconnection. Log back into the site and re-enter the game lobby as quickly as possible. You will be directed to rejoin your game table. When a player disconnect, he has 3 minutes to return to the game. If he/she has not returned within 3 minutes, he has lost the game along with his wager amount, and his ranking goes down.
- How long do I have to reconnect?
You have three minutes to log back into the site and re-enter the game lobby. This time limit has been imposed in consultation with our players. In the event you do not reconnect within three minute period your opponent will be deemed the winner and your stake or liability will be forfeited. This policy is in force at the request of our players and prevents the abuse of these disconnection procedures. In case of dispute we welcome you to contact our 24/7 customer support which will support and review your case.
- What happens if I close the game lobby window?
Closing the game lobby window will close all games tables. Re-enter the game lobby as quickly as possible.
- What happens if I close the game table window?
Close the game table window during play and the game lobby will direct you to rejoin your game table.
- How do you prevent players from purposely disconnecting from the game?
When a player disconnects, he loses the game and the stake. In addition, our system can recognize and block out players that frequently sign off prematurely. Thus anyone who does so risks being automatically suspended from the site.
- Stopping and Continuing a Domino Game
Have you started to play a game of dominoes on DominioesStars.com and the game got disconnected? Don’t worry! You have 3 minutes to reconnect and continue the game. To do this, reenter the web site and the game will renew itself automatically at the same point at which you were disconnected. If you do not return within 3 minutes, you will lose the game.
- Disconnection abuse
DominoesStars product supported by our advanced security system and sophisticated mechanism will detect whether a player had a genuine disconnection. If a player tries to claim Disconnect Protection by simply getting 'timed out', he/she will be deemed to have resigned from the game. Disconnect Protection is not to be used for any purpose other than a genuine disconnection. Any intentional disconnections from the game lobby or game table may result in forfeiture of winnings or expulsion from the site.
- What happens if I’m playing for real money and the game suddenly gets disconnected?
When a player disconnect, he has 3 minutes to return to the game. If he/she has not returned within 3 minutes, he has lost the game along with his wager amount, and his ranking goes down.
- Technical issues
In the unlikely event a real money game in progress is cancelled due to technical issues, both players will be automatically refunded their buy-ins, regardless of the players’ standing when the game was halted. We reserve the right to render final decisions on all matters herein at our sole discretion.
